At the Vladimir film festival not only lovers of independent skate videos come together, it's also a meeting of zine makers. We got hold of a few magazines – and we want to introduce them to you today.

Today we are talking about On Shabbat, the Streets are Yours by Will Jivcoff, Japan by Nich Kunz and Disassemble Reassemble by Richard Hart.

Will Jivcoff is a Toronto based photographer who went together with six friends on a trip to Israel in 2016. They were traveling to Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, the West Bank and Eilat. The zine documents the meeting of skateboarders with an environment that looks like it does not fit in skateboarding – but only on the first glance. Nich Kunz is from San Francisco, but in the last years he was traveling a lot. In his zine he focuses on the moments between lonliness and stimulation, with which you are often confronted on long trips. In his case he was just traveling trough Japan for two weeks.

The Briton Richard Hart was living in San Fransisco for a long time too, but he was recently moving to Antwerpen. He is the editor of Push Periodical Mags and Zine Enthusiast. The zine we introduce you today is sadly already sold out, because there were only 70 pieces produced for the Vladimir film festival. The special thing about this is, that you have to unstitch the pages out of the zine, that you are able to put them together to two big images.
